Congratulations to our Exhibitors, Sponsors & Members

Our 2010 event proved to be another successful year!

The WRICA Careers & Employment Expo which was held on Thursday 13th & Friday 14th May 2010 provided a huge opportunity for students, parents & community members to experience a wide array of career and course options.
Attendance has been estimated at approximately 7,000 overall, including schools, parents, community groups and general public from both Wyndham & Hobsons Bay regions.  Parents, young people and a school from outside our regions also attended.
This year schools were encouraged to bus years 10 and 12 to the expo over the two days and encourage year 11 students to attend the evening session.  WRICA will continue to review attendance numbers each year to ensure that our event remains of exceptional quality in a safe and comfortable environment.
Our evening session went very well with a significant increase in attendance numbers from last year. This session gave community members, parents and young people a chance to receive quality information on a one to one basis.  The evening session also kept our Career Advisors busy with many clients taking up the opportunity to receive Career Counselling.  This was also the first year that WRICA included seminars throughout the evening session which allowed 5 exhibitors to present their career information to a targeted audience.
The positive feedback from schools, parents and exhibitors has highlighted the need to continue with the evening session and seminars which we are confident will continue to grow.

We sincerely thank Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Cr. Heather Marcus Mayor of Wyndham City Council and Lindsay Fox, Linfox who took time from their busy schedule to officially launch our event and share with us their personal career experiences.
We are also incredibly great full to all our sponsors who continue to strongly support the expo and allow WRICA to host such a successful event each year.
Thank you to Wyndham City Council, who is our Platinum Sponsor.  Gold Sponsors include Lithocraft, LinFox, Werribee/Point Cook Banner, Victoria University and Defence Force Recruiting and Silver Sponsors include University of Ballarat, Harry the Hirer, City West Water, NDCO, WynBay LLEN, Whitehouse Institute of Design, William Angliss, Endeavour College and WISE Employment.  Wyndham Leisure & Events Centre as a Bronze Sponsor.

Exhibitor attendance has continued to grow and again has been the largest contingent yet so a big THANKYOU for all your hard work and support.  We understand that the evening session made for a very long day and we appreciated your efforts in representing your organisation by providing up-to-date quality information and that you remained for the entirety of every session including the evening.  Your diligence and thoughtfulness shows respect and support for our event, our patrons and fellow exhibitors.  The evening session was again successful and will continue at future events however the times for the evening session will be reviewed.

Thank you to those who completed and returned our evaluation.  Your feedback is appreciated especially as your comments where so positive, as was the feedback from students, parents, schools & community. This enables WRICA members to discuss suggestions for continued improvement in providing a quality and informative event in a safe and comfortable environment.
